Social st:  extra credit for a grade level appropriate article on your explorer. Be sure to cite your source.

February WEB Project

Just a friendly reminder that the next WEB project is due Monday, February 4th.  In order to have ample time for summary writing, project creation and cue cards it is suggested that students finish their book by next Friday, January 17th.  This is just a suggestion, but finishing by this day allows the week of January 19th for summary writing, revising and finals and then the week of January 26th to complete project and cue cards.

All 4th and 5th grade students need to complete book diaries, summaries, projects and cue cards this month. Rubrics, summary writing guidelines and other WEB information is available in Google docs in the blue band on the right side of your screen.

Box Top Winners

Congratulations 4/5 LW for being the December winners of the Westwood Box Top for Education Collection.  Our class turned in over 400 box tops in the month of December!!!  Whoo Hoo!!!!
  As a reward, Mrs. Jensen provided our classroom with celebration balloons and fruit snack treats for the students.  A special thank you to all students, parents and extended families that cut and collect the GM box tops for our school.  It truly makes a difference.
