Join Battle of the Books!!!!

Attention all students!!!!  The library is looking for you to join "Westwood's Battle of the Books!"  Teams are forming now in the LRC.  We are looking of teams of 4-5 students to join together to read a selected list of books.  These students then participate in "quiz show" type activities 3-4 times a year to earn points for their team.  In the spring we have a final Battle of the Books competition and the winner gets to participate in a cross school battle with students from Dean Elementary and Olson Elementary.

Westwood has won this title for the past 4-5 years. We are really excited to keep our winning streak going.  That streak starts with you!  Please gather your team and see Mrs. Fraser ASAP to get your team registered.

P.S.  Battle of the Books novels can also be used for your monthly WEB reading.  You have to read anyway....why not play????
