October WEB Project

Our October WEB project is quickly approaching.  If you look to the right, you'll see a section labeled WEB projects.  This includes all WEB information, rubrics, project ideas, and the outline for how to write a 5 paragraph summary.  This year students can choose a project they feel best demonstrates their book, and shows deeper understanding.  Following is a timeline to help students complete books ontime.

WEB books should be finished at this point.  It was suggested that students have them done by this past Sunday, September 18th.
This week (Sept 19-24) students should be using their book diary to write their 5 paragraph summary.  (See summary outline to the right for additional guidance if needed)
This weekend (Sept 24-25) students should choose a project and gather all materials needed.  Create a sketch or RD of what it might look like when finished
Next week (Sept 26-30) students should create their project and make their cue cards for their presentation.
Weekend before project due date (Oct 1-2) students should practice their presentation using their project and their cue cards.
They will NOT be able to read their summary to the class.  They must talk off their note cards.  (see rubric to the right for more information)

On Monday, October 3rd. Students should bring book, summary, book diary, project and cue cards to school and be prepared to present the week of Oct. 3rd.  Hopefully this timeline helps your child pace himself/herself and create a successful project he/she feels proud of.  As always feel free to contact me with any questions.  :)
