Trail of History

A note went home on Tuesday regarding our 5th Grade Trail of History Field Trip!

We are so lucky to have been chosen via lottery system to attend the Trail of History!  The trail of history is a live simulation of life in the mid-west from approximately 1700-1900.  Students will have the opportunity to interact with individuals as they portray what their life might have been like during this time period.  :)  This is an amazing trip and we are very fortunate to have been selected to attend.

We are asking for $2.00 to help cover the cost of transportation.  The remainder of the cost will be covered by the bit of funds we have left from camping.

The trip will be next Friday, October 19th.  We will be gone the entire school day.  Your child will need to dress for the outdoor elements and bring a large sack lunch!  Trail of History is trying to promote a GREEN environment.  The program is asking that lunch be completely trash free.  Students should bring food items in plastic reusable containers that can be brought home.  No trash cans are provided!!!!

Space for volunteers is limited.  We can take two chaperones per class.  Chaperones must ride the bus with the students.  Parents are asked by the Trail of History not to drive out to meet up with their class. Parking is limited for buses only.  If you would like volunteer to chaperone you can respond to this post using "Parent of....and your child's code"  You may also send a note to school.

We are so excited to have this opportunity and look forward to next Friday!
